Years ago, while competing in Powerlifting, I was able to work up to my strongest showing in bench to date. I did this by building a program that allowed me a mix of techniques including: hypertrophy work, speed, and max strength. This program will not be complex, rather, it will be stripped down to build upon proper form and technique. You will not find any magic here, just a lot of consistent work that is focused on one ultimate goal.
Within this program, there will be a mixture of what I did originally and some new ideas that I have come up with in the last ten years. What you will find is a balance that will allow for forward moving progress. I will lay out my method of balancing between the main lift and the accessories needed to benefit the desired goal. That goal here is simple: to bench more than I ever have before.
